Best of Student Media is CollegeJournalism.org's weekly selection of outstanding work from collegiate journalists across the country. The list is curated by CollegeJournalism.org and Student Press Report editor Barbara "Bob" Allen, who monitors almost 900 RSS feeds from student news publications nationwide — roughly 80% of all college student media.

New stories are selected each week for their quality, creativity and potential to inspire collegiate journalists and those who lead them.

CollegeJournalism.org is proud to announce the launch of the Best of Student Media, a new feature on this site that will showcase 10 outstanding student media pieces from the previous week.

Curated by Student Press Report editor and CollegeJournalism.org founder Barbara Allen, the list is designed to inspire and encourage college journalists and independent campus news organizations.

The list will be published here and in the College Journalism Newsletter each Sunday. Students, advisers and professors are also encouraged to email great stories to bob@collegejournalism.org.
